Meet the person behind Simplicite

Chris

Hey, y’all.

It’s odd that I own a financial business because I grew up in a family of musicians and athletes, half of which are Baylor graduates (pray for us). I’ve always had a deep desire to make a significant, positive impact on the lives of others though. I suppose this is really my own unique way of going about it.

This is the point where I think I’m supposed to list off my degrees and accomplishments so that you get really impressed with how great I’ve done. But I can’t do it. Unfortunately, my story doesn’t read like much of a fairy tale…

Though I’ve been helping people financially in various capacities since 2006, the overarching theme of my career has been less than… how should I say… polished?

My world came crashing down about 10 years ago when I learned that my business partner and mentor had been stealing from me and our investors, resulting in massive financial losses. About a decade’s worth of hard work turned into one of the worst nightmares that I could imagine.

Instead of accolades and awards, I got a mounting pile of legal bills and a free trip to the depths of hardcore anxiety. Panic attacks had always been somewhat of a fascinating thing to me… but of course that changed the moment that I had one of my own.

I know what it’s like to need help.

Although some people saw my vulnerability and took advantage of it, I was lucky enough to cross paths with plenty of honest, caring people that became a part of my redemption story. And that’s where the Simplicite Tax Loan chapter really starts…

Whether your story is a wild and dramatic novel like mine (yes, I’ve been encouraged to write a book many times) or even if it’s not, this is me offering to be a part of your story. Whatever I have to offer you… whatever our team has to offer you… we want to provide it while also being more of the honest, caring people that are so refreshing to drink in when life has you a little bit parched.

Cheers,
